You are powerful

February 29

“Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: ‘Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”  And he went outside and wept bitterly.”  Matthew 26:75.

“To err is human, to forgive is divine!”  Don’t allow past failures to keep you in the bondage of shame.  All great and successful people have had their experiences of failure.  David with adultery; Peter with fear denied Jesus; Moses with anger committed murder; Elijah with depression wanted to die; and Timothy with discouragement almost gave up His ministry.

Henry Ward Beecher said, “It takes defeat to turn bone into flint, gristle into muscle, and make us invincible.  It forms in us that heroic nature that causes us to rise above all obstacles.  Don’t be afraid of defeat, for you are never so near to victory as when you are defeated in a good cause.”

Yes, Peter failed miserable when he denied Jesus – but Jesus restored him from a life of failure into victory.  Peter the unstable one became Peter the ‘rock’.  He learnt from his experience of failure that fear torments and has no power except deception. See your failures as mere stepping stones to new strength, wisdom and success.  Failure is never permanent unless you make it so.  Failure is a journey and not your destination.  Go forward in a new day with new hope and new faith in the power of your LORD Almighty who remains in control.

Kingdom Declaration:

Jesus died for all my sins and failures that were cancelled on the cross and washed by His blood.
