Shine Jesus shine

October 25

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16).

There is a song that says, “Shine, Jesus shine, fill this land with the Father’s glory.” That is a beautiful song but it can only become a reality if Jesus shines through His believers.  God calls us, “The light of the world”, “the salt of the earth”, and “His ambassadors” to represent Him on Earth.  As we pray the prayer of Jesus, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven”, God is empowering His believers with His grace and glory to show forth His love, power, and grace in our world.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and we are His servants of salvation. His gift of salvation is released through His believers living and sharing the message of His Kingdom. You are His public relation servant telling others about the good news of His Kingdom. You are His hands extended reaching out to the hurting and showing the good works of His Kingdom. His love and character can either be seen through you or hidden by your character and personality. Your good deed is the light of Jesus shining through you to bring praise and glory to your Father in heaven.

What a privilege to know that not only do you need God, but that He also needs you.  Your destiny is wrapped up in Him and you are chosen for a time such as this to make Jesus shine through you before men.  May He shine through you today as you touch others with His light and with His love.

Kingdom Declaration:

Shine Jesus, shine through me in this world of darkness and let your glory be seen in me.
