God is in control

December 7

“Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”  Hebrews 12:3.

Jesus, Son of the living God, Creator of the Universe, 100% God and man, endured opposition from people even though He had the power to destroy all those who opposed Him at any time.  He warned us that we too will face trouble in this world: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33.

God gives us hope that our challenges are never a surprise to Him.  God knows all things, is before all things, and is in control of all things in your life.  When you made Jesus your Savior and Lord, He became Supreme Ruler.  Your confidence is this: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Joseph was sold into slavery twice but God turned it around for good by using that season of his life to train him in the government and people issues in Egypt.  Joseph was betrayed in Potiphar’s house but that was the place where he learnt the secrets of the kingdom of Egypt.  Joseph was unjustly put in prison but that was the place where he met his sponsor who promoted him before the King. Joseph’s troubles became the training ground for him to eventually rule in Egypt as second to the king.

Be confident that your God never sleeps and remains Sovereign Ruler in your life.
