Waiting is never easy

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”  Psalm 27:14.  

Waiting is never easy, yet it is an important season in all living and growing organism, organization, and entity.  The Bible promises, “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.” Isaiah 64:4.

The purpose of waiting on God:

1) God’s answer is best.  God’s ways are higher and greater that we can ask or imagine.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9. Waiting can be frustrating but impatience can result in regrettable experiences. Trust in God’s timing.

2) We grow in maturity. Pregnancy is a waiting time but it is the development of a healthy baby.  The timing is very important and could determine the lifespan of the child. Wait on the LORD.

3) Faith is developed. Waiting tests and proves our faith in God. It allows us to trust in His timing and to submit to His authority as Sovereign Ruler who is never too early or late.

4) We receive the best.  When we wait on the Lord we receive the best in the best time and for the best purpose.

Jesus had to wait patiently for the timing of His ministry and through a process of growth, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Luke 2:52. At 30 years old the fullness of His time came. He was anointed by the Holy Spirit and presented to the world as Savior, Messiah. Wait patiently on the Lord.

Kingdom Declaration:

I will wait on the Lord and be renewed in strength for my best in God’s best timing.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

May 30

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.”  Acts 16:31.   

Salvation is a free gift that is given to all who are willing to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.  Because salvation is a simple process we can doubt its power.  Because it is a free gift we can undermine its value.

Salvation comes:

1) By faith.  Activate your faith to believe in a greater power than yourself.  God is the Author of life.  He is called Alpha and Omega because He begins and ends life.  He alone can create life.  Great scientists and wealthy billionaires cannot extend their lives when it is time for them to die. Have faith in God. Believe that He exists and that He is seeking relationship with you.

2) Through Jesus.  “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

3) With holistic success. The word household includes you, your family, your ministry, your work, and all that concerns you.  When you believe in Jesus Christ, He immediately releases grace towards your family and all areas of your life.  In Him you have eternal life and security.

Pray today and receive the gift of salvation: “Lord Jesus, I believe in you.  I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, mistakes, and failures.  I ask you to forgive me. Please come into my life and give me your spiritual and eternal life. By faith I believe in you and thank you for your gift of salvation.  In Jesus’ Name, amen”.  If you prayed this prayer by faith, you and your household are saved. Go forward in confidence in Christ and create and rule your world of peace, power, prosperity, and eternal security.

Kingdom Declaration:

Jesus Christ is my Savior King.  In His Kingdom I am safe and secure.

Two kinds of faith

“The righteous will live by faith.”  Romans 1:17.   

Faith is the lifestyle of a believer in God.  By faith we take the promises of God and make them ours.  By faith we resist the devil until he flees.  By faith we know that all circumstances in our lives, regardless of how difficult they might be, will work together for our good because our God is in control.  It is said that “Faith is dead to doubt, dumb to discouragement, blind to impossibilities, and knows nothing but success in God.”  

There are two kinds of faith:

1)  Human faith.  Every person has human faith.  Children are born with faith and without fear.  A child has faith in parents, teachers, family, and friends. With human faith, we believe what we know by our senses – what we see, hear, taste, smell, and feel.  We sit on a chair by faith without checking its strength; we fly in a plane by faith without understanding how it works; we make plans for tomorrow by faith.  Everyone has human faith.  Human faith keeps the world in operation and function, and helps human beings to continue in their journey of life.

2)  Supernatural faith.  This is a gift of faith given by God to those who believe in Him.  Because you are  born with faith, you have the ability to put your faith in God and to receive the faith of God. “To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours.” 2 Peter 1:1.  God’s faith in us has overcoming power: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4.

Faith is important in your relationship with God: “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. Have faith in God and all things are possible for you.

My faith in God makes me secure today and confident in my eternal future.

God’s Word is powerful

May 28

“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”  Proverbs 30:5.   

In trying to describe the Bible, Henry Van Dyke said, “It has a word of peace for the time of peril, a word of comfort for the time of calamity, a word of light for the hour of darkness. Its oracles are repeated in the assembly of the people, and its counsels whispered in the ear of the lonely. The wicked and the proud tremble at its warnings, but to the wounded and penitent it has a mother’s voice.”  

The Bible is not just a book of quotations and history, but it is the voice of God to you, His precious child.  As you read His Word every day you will grow in stronger relationship with God and His Word will become a lamp to your feet and a light for your path.  His Word to you is healing, hope, inspiration, comfort, wisdom, and peace.  “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalms 130:5.

God’s word is powerful to change lives: “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.  The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” Psalm 19:7-8. His word heals heart, can be trusted, teaches wisdom, brings joy, and dispels fear.

God’s word is powerful.  It is fuel for the soul and medicine for your heart. God’s word is living, powerful, and divine.  Go forth in its strength today. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.

Kingdom Declaration:

The word of God is strength and fuel for my soul.  I live by God’s word and prosper.

You are God’s Great Creation

May 27

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him?”  Psalms 8:3,4. 

David spent over fifteen years in exile running from cave to cave and valley to valley, and sometimes alone with only the night sky as his companion.  After spending years alone in a natural environment, experiencing the changes of time and seasons, he became overwhelmed with the magnificence of God’s creation and universe.  He looked at the sky from a limited perspective, with the naked eye, and yet he saw the glory of God displayed.

Abraham Lincoln said, “I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how a man could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.” With powerful telescopes scientists and home hobbyists are able to observe the cosmos and discover more and more about the greatness of the universe.  The more we know is the more we discover what we do not know.

With all the greatness of God’s creation, YOU are His greatest.  He made you in His image and likeness and to represent Him on earth. You were created in love and with purpose to bring glory to God. You were created in glory and now Christ the hope of Glory lives in you. His ask of you is to: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16.   God wants His glory to be seen in and through you. CHAYIL Glory is the manifested power and glory of the LORD Jesus Christ in and through His servants. You are God’s great creation and His vessel of glory.

Kingdom Declaration:

I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God to display His manifested glory on earth.

God’s Compassion Never Fails

May 26

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:22,23.  

Today God is promising you three things;

1) Unfailing love.  God cannot love you more than He does now because His love towards you is already perfect in spite of your imperfections.  He will never stop loving you.  “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39. 

2) Amazing compassion. His compassion is always towards you with a readiness to help you, forgive you when you need His forgiveness, and to extend His hand of mercy towards you each day. 

3) Great faithfulness.  You can count on God.  You can trust Him to be there for you always.  He waits for you even when you ignore Him or get too busy.  He is not waiting to scold or punish you but to love and encourage you.  God lives by His own Word.  “His compassion never fail, they are new every morning.” 

Love yourself and love others.  Forgive yourself and forgive others. Live in God’s atmosphere of Glory.

Kingdom Declaration:

I live in an atmosphere of God’s glory with His unfailing love, amazing compassion, and great faithfulness.

Create a Balanced Life (life Balls)

May 25

“The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”  1 John 2:17.  

One of the buzz phrases in today’s society is, “Work, Life, Balance.”  Companies are sponsoring seminars to help staff who are becoming more and more stressed out and burnt out. People are adding a personal psychiatrist to their personal doctor and dentist. Jesus is our model for perfectly balanced life and determined success.

Jesus balanced His work with rest. “When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake.” Matthew 8:18. He ruled His world. His devotion was to His Father and His duty was to others.  Jesus loved the world but the world never consumed nor controlled Him.  He submitted Himself to His Father’s control for eternal success. 

Let us create a balanced life in wisdom with seven Life Balls and with priorities in mind as we create and rule our world: God, health, family, purpose, work, relationships, friends, and recreation. The pressures of life will try to get you to either ignore or drop one of these Life Balls. But, purpose in your heart to live a balanced life. Believe and create God’s plan for your life, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2, NKJV. Create your priorities and rule your world with God as your main priority and Source of life and blessings.

Kingdom Declaration:

I rule my world with the right priorities and with God as my Source of glory.

Vessels of Mercy

May 24

“He answered: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”  Luke 10:27.   

The parable of the Good Samaritan is the story of a man who was beaten by robbers, stripped, and left for dead.  A priest and a Levite (religious person) passed him by and did not help.  Then a Samaritan (a victim of prejudice and from a shunned class of society) stopped and helped the desperate dying man.  Sometimes we can be so religiously busy that we forget the important things like compassion, kindness, and love. The Samaritan was a vessel of mercy. 

Recently a boy, eight years of age, was beaten to death by his mother. The neighbors were seen sobbing on the television news, for they had seen signs of abuse for years but no one wanted to get involved.  It is always a risk to get involved with issues but somewhere between caution and indifference; fear and self-preservation; there must be guts to love enough to care, and care enough to help. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself”.  It is risky to get involved and sometimes costly but the world still needs vessels of mercy.

God encourages us: “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Matthew 5:7. “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36. Remember that God is forever merciful to you.

I am a vessel of God’s love and mercy of God.

Encourage Yourself

May 23

“And the people, that is, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day.” Judges 20:22.

There are times when you will have only one encourager – YOU.  Here the men of Israel had to encourage themselves after two disappointing battles.  They had gone into battle with self-confidence and self-righteousness and suffered severe lost loss.  They examined their approach, attitude towards God, and in humility they sought His favor. This time God responded: “Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.” Judges 20:28. They battled again and won.  Without encouragement it’s hard to continue in faith and success.

The bible contains many examples of people and nations that suffered severe loss but recovered all.  In some cases, they gained more than they had before their crisis.  They all had to fight a common enemy – discouragement.  David after a severe loss (his family, resources, tents, workers, friend), was greatly distressed. He cried, prayed, and cried some more as the enemy of discouragement tried to swallow him in a pit of despair: “David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6.

There are times when you have no one but YOU to encourage YOU. You have the power to encourage yourself with the word of God, by praising God and with thanksgiving.  God’s word to you: “For I am with you to rescue and save you, ‘declares the LORD.’” Jeremiah 15:20.

The Lord is with me forever. I am safe, secure, and confident in His victory.

Your good purpose will be fulfilled

May 22

“We constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.”  2 Thessalonians 1:11. 

You are born with purpose.  You are a solution to challenges and an answer o your generation.  We sometimes find our calling a mystery because we want the destination without a journey.  Our calling is a journey that is answered each day as we listen and walk in obedience.  Our calling is a day by day attitude of faithfulness.  As you continue to be faithful in what you are doing today your excellence will pave the journey of your purpose. 

Your purpose is speaking:

1) Be quiet enough to hear it.

2) Be wise enough to prepare for it.

3) Be strong enough to work for it. 

4) Be brave enough to speak it.

5) Be honest enough to live it. 

6) Be bold enough to defend it. 

7) Be faithful enough to pray it through.

Have faith in God, follow where He leads, and obey what He says. By His power and your actions you will fulfill your purpose.

Kingdom Declaration:

I am on my journey for the destination of fulfilling my good purpose.
