“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.” (James 2:17-18).
The air was charged with the presence and power of God as thousands of people gathered to hear Jesus Christ, the Teacher. God in the flesh of Jesus, was among the people ministering His incredible teachings, revelations, and insights. Some were there to learn, to see miracles, and to enjoy the excitement of the crowd. The atmosphere of glory was there, “… and the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick.” (Luke 5:17)
In the crowd was a desperate woman who decided to cease an opportunity regardless of the cost. She had suffered with chronic bleeding for twelve years. She lost a great deal of money with doctors and medicine. Her relationships suffered, but her faith remained strong. She put action to her faith: “When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.’ Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.” Mark 5:26-29.
Notice the progression of her miracle:
1) Faith. She heard about Jesus. Faith comes by hearing the revelation of God.
2) Decision. She made a decision. She used her power of choice to move toward her miracle.
3) Creativity. She created her strategy, “I will touch his clothes”. She was specific.
4) Action. She moved towards her Source and her miracle.
When you do what you can do, God will do what He alone can do. When you use what you have God will release the miracle He has waiting for you.
I live in the realm of God’s glory where all things are possible for me and through me.
